  • General

    What is the difference between memory foam and ordinary foam?

    Memory foam is sensitive to heat therefore it feels firm when it is cold and soft when it is warm. Ordinary (Polyurethane) foam does not respond to the temperature so it feels the same in a cold or a warm environment. If you put your hand on the surface of a memory foam mattress it will leave an impression for several seconds even after you remove your hand, hence the name “memory foam". This is not true with ordinary foam which regains its original shape immediately after you take your hand off of the mattress.
  • Is memory foam better than latex foam?

    No. One foam is not "better" than the other foam. They just have two distinctly different feels. Both memory foam mattresses and latex mattresses utilize foam as their support system. There are no springs in either of these mattresses; therefore, your body is not subjected to uncomfortable pressure points and you will experience improved circulation and more natural support. The properties of both foams allow for pressure relief and body contouring.

    The most remarkable difference between memory foam and latex foam is the material(s) they are made from. Memory Foam contours to your body’s shape and weight under the influence of applied pressure, such as the pressure of lying on the memory foam mattress or memory foam mattress topper. The rate and amount of contouring is determined by the density of the memory foam material and your body’s temperature, shape and weight. Once your body heat and the applied pressure are absorbed, the cells soften. This is what causes the memory foam mattress to contour and conform to your body shape. No other bedding works or feels quite like this.

    Compared to Memory Foam, which is a relatively slow-response foam, Latex Foam is a very quick-response foam. Latex foam will respond and flex to your body, in contrast to memory foam, which tends to mold to your body. Latex foam feels “springier” and more rapidly responsive when compared to memory foam, which feels more solid. Latex foam is not temperature sensitive, while memory foam responds differently as the temperature varies.
  • How much weight can a Broyhill® Sensura™ Memory Foam Bed support?

    Unlike some other memory foam mattresses that have weight restrictions, there is little danger of having too much weight on a Broyhill® Sensura™ Memory Foam Bed. The Sensura™ Memory Foam Beds are designed for all types of sleepers regardless of their weight. Many mattress manufacturers use lower quality base foam, which can cause the mattress to sag and fail prematurely. It may look as though the memory foam on top is failing, but instead, it’s the support foam underneath that is failing. We only use the highest quality foam in our mattresses, from the top layer to the base support layer.
  • Does the Broyhill® Sensura™Memory Foam Bed look different from an innerspring bed?

    No. At least on the outside our memory foam beds look like any other premium quality mattress. Our memory foam beds are tailored to perfection with high profile styling and premium fabrics.
  • Do I need special sheets for my Broyhill® Sensura™ Memory Foam Bed?

    No. Since our memory foam beds are constructed to industry standards, no special sheets are required. However, you may prefer "deep pocket" sheets with our high profile memory foam beds. Deep pocket sheets can easily be found at any major department or big box store.
  • Will my memory foam mattress look exactly like the picture?

    While we strive to provide the most true to color images and accurate descriptions of our products, the actual color or shade of the item may vary due to the color settings of your computer monitor. Broyhill Memory Foam cannot guarantee that the color you view on your monitor will exactly match the product due to the nature of online shopping constrictions.
  • Memory Foam Bed Set Up

    Does the Sensura™ Memory Foam Bed require troublesome assembly?

    No. While our Broyhill® Sensura™ Memory Foam Beds are shipped rolled up and compressed in order to greatly reduce shipping costs, once you unpack the memory foam mattress from the shipping box and remove the plastic bag surrounding the bed, the mattress will begin to naturally decompress with minimal assistance. We recommend letting the product sit and become acclimated to room temperature. Letting the product sit for an hour or two will allow it to start expanding to its normal shape/size. In a short amount of time, your product will expand to full size/shape. In some cases, it may require up to 48 hours for the product to regain its full shape.
  • Do I need special tools to set up my Broyhill® Sensura™ Memory Foam Mattress

    No. You will not need any type of tools to set up your memory foam bed. The only "tool" required during set up is a pair of scissors to remove the protective outer plastic cover.
  • Do I need a special foundation, or can I use my current box springs?

    All memory foam mattresses are designed to work on a flat, sturdy, non-spring foundation. Memory foam mattresses need more support than spring mattresses due to their conforming nature. Box springs are usually designed to 'give', allowing the springs to last longer in innerspring mattresses. This is not ideal support for any foam mattress. A bad foundation is the #1 cause for memory foam mattresses not performing to their full potential. A bad foundation will negatively affect the mattress's level of comfort and durability. We highly recommend purchasing a foundation made specifically for foam mattresses. Using an inadequate foundation will void the mattress warranty. The matching Sensura™ foundation and lifestyle adjustable beds we offer are qualified foundations. Your mattress can also be supported by a platform bed, or equivalent appropriate frame with rigid center support and a minimum of 5 cross slats with center support that reaches the floor.
  • If I have questions about my new Sensura™ memory foam bed, is there someone I can call?

  • Memory Foam and Your Health

    Can dust mites get in a Sensura™ Memory Foam Bed?

    We construct each memory foam bed with foams that have been specially treated to resist dust mites and other allergens. However, as with any mattress, some dust mites may still be capable of getting inside your latex foam mattress. You can unzip the mattress cover and vacuum the interior of your memory bed to remove dust mites and other allergens. You can also professionally dry clean our removable mattress covers. We also recommend you purchase a quality mattress protector for your new memory foam mattress.
  • How long will it take to get used to my new Sensura™ Memory Foam Bed?

    Many people love their new memory foam mattress from the first night. Others will take some time to adjust to this remarkable new sleep surface. After sleeping on another mattress for years, your body may need time to adjust to the pressure free contouring support and increased comfort of a Broyhill® Sensura™ Memory Foam Bed. That is why we ask that you sleep on your new Sensura™ Memory Foam Bed for at least 30 nights. This should be enough time for your body to get used to a new, healthier way to sleep!
  • I experience back pain. Will a Sensura™ Memory Foam Mattress be beneficial?

    Yes. If you experience back pain, the contouring properties and pressure free support of a Sensura™ Memory Foam Mattress will increase healthy alignment, thus reducing back pain and discomfort. Because memory foam naturally reduces unhealthy pressure points, your body will become more relaxed with less tossing and turning. This may significantly reduce back pain during the day.
  • I have heard that memory foam has an odor. Is that true?

    No. You may notice a slight odor when the package is first opened. This is normal for newly manufactured foam and will fade away in a couple days. If you are sensitive to the smell, we suggest letting the mattress air uncovered for 24 hours prior to use.
  • How is your foam manufactured?

    Our foam is produced in a state-of-the-art sealed, pressurized chamber which allows us to use pressure rather than chemicals to control the physical properties of the foam. Because manufacturing occurs in a contained environment we are able to control variables such as barometric pressure, heat and humidity, which can cause inconsistencies in ordinary foam. The vast majority of our foreign and domestic competition use the antiquated technology of open air manufacturing which can lead to inconsistencies due to weather (Humid vs. Dry, Hot vs. Cold, High Pressure vs. Low Pressure), resulting in foam that can vary widely in firmness, feel and quality. Our Eco-Friendly Manufacturing Process produces a more consistent cell structure, resulting in higher quality foams with enhanced performance and strength characteristics. Our Eco-Friendly manufacturing is a Certified “Green” process that reduces the amount of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s) released into the atmosphere.
  • Memory Foam Mattress Care

    How do I care for my new memory foam mattress?

    Keeping your Broyhill® Sensura™ Memory Foam Bed clean and dry is the most important part of caring for it. Always keep your memory foam mattress clean and dry by using a mattress pad. Mattress pads are designed to be waterproof and stain proof and are machine washable. Stains, soiling and/or fluid penetration may void the warranty. Water, beverages and cleaning solutions will soak through the top layer of the mattress into the foam and damage the integrity and comfort structure of the mattress. If a spill occurs, immediately blot it with paper towels or clean, white towels. Never allow a liquid to soak into the mattress.
  • Can I clean the mattress cover of my Broyhill® Sensura™ Memory Foam Bed?

    Yes. Unlike the competition, the covers of the Broyhill® Sensura™ Memory Foam Beds can be zipped off and removed for professional dry cleaning, ensuring you always have a clean, hygienic sleep surface. Please do not apply stain guard to the mattress cover, as this may cause the fabric to yellow.
  • What if I accidentally spill something on my bed. What do I do?

    If something does stain your mattress, take the utmost care in cleaning it. Water that soaks through can cause mold to build up on the foam, which can be hazardous to your health. To remove stains, mix cold water and a mild detergent such as dish soap to form suds. Use a clean white cloth to apply to the mattress. Blot at the stain and use as little cleaning solution as possible to prevent the liquid from soaking through. Instead of blotting, you can use a spray bottle to control the amount of liquid applied to the surface of the mattress. If regular detergent won't remove the stain, use natural cleaners such as baking soda or vinegar. Mix one part baking soda or vinegar into three parts of water and spray or dab onto the surface to clean. Allow to dry completely.
  • Do I need to rotate my mattress?

    No. Memory foam mattresses do not need to be turned. However you may rotate the mattress from time to time if you wish to avoid possible “dips" in your memory foam mattress.

  • Can I change my order?

    Yes. If you haven’t started the checkout process, click the “Remove“ link in the cart. To change the quantity of an item, click on the “Quantity“ field in the cart and select the quantity you want. To add another product to your order, click the “Continue Shopping“ button.

  • What if I need to cancel my order?

    Orders placed on our online store are charged and processed quickly. Once we receive your order, we immediately begin to process your order for shipment from our inventory. Cancellations will only be accepted within 24 hours of orders being placed and if your order has not shipped.   • Can I place an order over the phone?

  • How do I know you received my order?

    You will receive an email confirmation within 24 hours of placing your order. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours, please contact us at 1-866-725-2247 to confirm your order.
  • If I live outside the U.S. can I still order from your website?

    No. We can only accept and ship orders from this website to addresses in the 48 contiguous U.S. states.
  • What if I live in Alaska or Hawaii? Can I still purchase from your store?

    We can only offer free shipping on orders shipping to the 48 contiguous U.S. states. If you live in Alaska or Hawaii, please call a Broyhill® Sleep Specialist at 1-866-725-2247 to determine if shipping to your location can be achieved for an additional cost.
  • Shipping and Delivery

    What do you charge for delivery?

    Nothing. Standard shipping is FREE on all items purchased from BroyhillMemoryFoamMattresses.com. You also have the option of choosing White Glove Delivery, for an additional charge.
  • How is my order shipped?

    We ship all Sensura™ Memory Foam Beds, pillows, accessories, and mattress toppers via FEDEX ground. If you ordered a Sensura™ foundation or adjustable base your entire order will ship is via a common freight carrier. Your order will be delivered curbside. You will be contacted by the delivery agent in order to set up a delivery time. You also have the option of White Glove Delivery Service.   • What if I receive the wrong item?

    In the event that an item was shipped in error, please contact a Broyhill® Sleep Specialist at 1-866-725-2247 within 24 hours.
  • If I ordered multiple items, will they all arrive at the same time?

    Most smaller products (pillows, mattress toppers) ship together, so you typically receive them at the same time. Your Broyhill® Sensura™ mattress will ship in a separate carton, so may not arrive at the same time.
  • What if something I ordered is missing?

    Missing items should be reported to a Broyhill® Sleep Specialist at 1-866-725-2247 within 24 hours. Please note that if you ordered multiple items, they may be arriving in separate packages.
  • Do you ship to P.O. boxes?

    No. Sorry, we cannot ship to a P.O. box.
  • How long will it take to receive my order?

    In most cases, your order will be processed and shipped within 24 hours. You should expect delivery 7-10 business days or less from ship date. In rare cases one or more components of a bed may be out of stock. If this happens, the bed will not ship until all components are received and the order can arrive complete. You will be notified by phone or email if there will be a delay in shipping.

    What is your return policy?

    Broyhill® Sensura™ offers a 90 day trial period for your new memory foam mattress. If, after 30 days, you wish to return or exchange your memory foam bed, you may do so, WITH NO RESTOCKING FEES.   • Do you charge a restocking fee for returns?

    No. At BroyhillMemoryFoamMattresses.com we will not charge you a restocking fee for simply returning an item. .
  • If I want a refund, what do I do?

    All merchandise being returned for a refund must be in good condition and be given a "Return Authorization" (RA) number from Customer Service, which will expire 30 days from date of issue. Broyhill® Sensura™ will arrange for return shipping. The RA must be included with all products returned in order to track your return and promptly process your credit. All refunds will be issued to the original method of payment within approximately 15 business days after all products have been received and inspected. Products will NOT be issued a refund if any of the following applies 1) mattress found to be damaged beyond normal use expectations 2) mattress is soiled 3) mattress is returned prior to a complete 30 night trial period.
